Latest Clinic News:

The Yakutat Tribal Health Board and Yakutat Community Health Center staff are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and leader, Byron Mallott. Byron was the leader of the Kwaashk'i Kwáan clan, the former Lieutenant Governor, and our fellow community member.

Byron’s Tlingit name was Duxdanéik. His Eyak name was K’oodeeltá.a’, meaning “a person who will lead us into the future,” which Byron did. Byron held many positions within our community and state, and we are grateful for his leadership. To us, Byron will always be our neighbor, our fishing buddy, our clan brother, our uncle, and our friend.

The Yakutat Tribal Health Board sends our deepest condolences to the Mallott family during this difficult time.
