Yakutat Tlingit Health Board

A huge welcome to our new Yakutat Tribal Health Board!  We held our very first meeting June 13, 2017.  this has been a long time coming and we are so very excited!  Our board is comprised of 5 (five) voting seats:  three YTT Council Members, one Tribal Member at large, one Community Member at large, and two advisory members: one Medical Advisory seat and one Youth Advisory seat.

Health Board Members are as follows:  Victoria Demmert, Cathy Bremner, and Joe Klushkan (three YTT Council Members); Newly appointed members: Beverly Bremner, Tribal Member at Large; Maryann Porter, Community Member at Large; and Mark Schultz, Medical Advisory.  The Youth Advisory seat is still vacant and closes June 23rd at noon.  Anyone aged 16-24 can pick up an application at the YTT main office or Yakutat Community Health Center.  An application can also be found on our website www.yakutathealth.org.  In creating this new Health Board we will be able to put more focus on policies, continuity of care, and overall better quality service to our patients.
